Italy!

You guys, we went to Italy! And it was amazing! The views, the weather, the colours, the food, the, well, everything :) The first few days we were at Cinque Terre, five beautiful little villages build on the hillsides of the coastline. The colours of this place are amazing and beautiful bright. The blue sea and skies, green hills, pink flowers and pastel houses. How I wish my hometown was as dazzling as these.

blue is awesome

In Berlin we stumbled upon this blue schoolbus. Blue has always been my favourite colour, and this much of it, on a schoolbus, is just awesome. And that I happened to wear my blue skirt and scarf was a lovely coincidence!
Oh, and my second favourite colour? As you can probably guess: red :)  Lately I'm especially in love with the combination of the two. Somehow everything that draws my eye turns out to be red and blue (you can find proof here!)

city maps

I love city maps. They make you daydream about cities you've never visited and even discover new places in your own city. I ordered these city maps at Lagom Design. They are actually gift wraps, but I decided to use them as posters instead. So my walls are now covered with the streets of Berlin, Paris, London and New York. The first three I visited in the last years, and I've been dreaming of New York for years now, hopefully we'll get there soon!

ps.  I have a secret love for all the streets, towns and counties that are called Lafayette, just because my name is in it :)

RAW tempel

One of the places in Berlin that impressed me the most is Raw tempel. At Raw tempel you can find all sorts of alternative culture, like a climbing wall, skatepark, concert stage and a vegetarian restaurant. You can see that the area used to be an old railway maintenance yard, as the tracks are still there. All the buildings are covered in graffiti, and the buildings that are not being used are totally worn out.

When we visited the place, we were the only people there, what made it even more impressive and bizarre. I think that in summer this is the place to be in Berlin, and for now it was awesome to take some photos.
